1. Definitions
1.1 TD&A & TD&A Certified Accountants are trading names of TD&A Limited, registered office: Level 37, 1 Canada Square, Canary Wharf London E14 5AA.
1.2 The trainee (s) means the person (s) attending the work experience (Training).
1.3 The Work Experience (Training) means one or a specific series of training courses as defined in the training brochure or proposal.
1.4. Working days are Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays.
1.5. Training fee is inclusive of 20% VAT payable by Trainee.
2. Bookings & training sessions
2.1 Training sessions are virtual – done over the internet. It is the Trainees responsibility to make sure that they do the online training.
2.2 Except where TD&A exercises its discretion to do otherwise no trainee will be accepted onto any work experience training until TD&A is in receipt of payment, in full, of the work experience training fee.
2.3 The trainee is expected to use their best endeavours to complete the work experience within the period set by TD&A
3. The duration of the work experience
The Accounts payable/Receivable work experience training can be completed within 21 hours (to be completed within 2 months). The Accounts Assistant and Financial Accountant work experience training is for a maximum of 30 & 42 hours respectively (to be done within 4 & 6 months respectively) and should that time not be sufficient for you, you may be given additional hours in each case up to a maximum of 8 hours ( to be done within one month) to enable you to complete the work experience – by way of access to the online accounting software.
4. Cancellation of work experience and refunds
4.1By TD&A
TD&A may cancel any training at any time for any reason but will endeavour to provide the trainee with at least 7 days’ notice of cancellation. Any fees paid will be refunded in full to the trainee. The extent of liability for cancellation of work experience is specifically limited to any training fee paid.
4.2 By the Trainee
4.2.1 All cancellations must be notified to TD&A in writing and delivered to TD&A registered address at 189 Marsh Wall South Quay Building, E14 9SH via registered (signed for) delivery (choice of courier is up to the trainee) or in person or via email at [email protected].
4.2.2 Under this cancellation and refund policy, you may cancel your purchase of the course within the period of 14 calendar days (cancellation period) from the date on which the contract of purchase is concluded. Please note that the right to cancel will not apply after we issued your login detail for the online study platform before receiving your cancellation request to us.
If you choose to cancel within this period you will receive a refund of the price within 30 days if you are eligible for refunds.
If we posted any study material to you, you should return them to us before the refund.
Please allow up to 2 working days to receive your online training details (Login details).
Once a course has been redeemed, we cannot grant a refund. All refund requests can be sent to [email protected] or posted to TD&A Limited, 189 Marsh Wall, South Quay Building, Level 1, Canary Wharf London, E14 9SH
4.2.3 Refund procedure
Any refund will take up to 30 days to process.
5. Long absence and write off
Long absence for the purpose of the work experience training is a period of 25 working days from the time the trainee attended their latest training session or 28 days from the time a trainee enrolled to any of the work experience training programs
Long absence unless caused by a technical fault in the website or training software or with prior notice to TD&A in writing either by email or post, will result in automatic cancellation of the work experience by TD&A and no refunds will be due to Trainee. Cancellation notice will be sent to Trainee by TD&A 7 days before the cancellation is effected.
6. Quality
TD&A will provide suitably qualified and experienced personnel with regard to the work experience training and will take all reasonable care to ensure that the presentation and content of the work experience training is made in a professional and competent manner and to a standard appropriate to the work experience.
7. Materials and Equipment
The accounting software and training materials will be provided for use by trainees for the duration of the work experience training unless otherwise specified. The trainee is expected to provide their own computer or equipment to access the work experience training course online over the internet and be responsible for the subscription to their internet service provider.
8. Use of accounting software provided to Trainees by TD&A Certified Accountants is permitted only to the extent that the trainee uses it only for doing the work experience training course provided by TD&A.
9. Copyright of work experience material
Ownership of and copyright in all training material and documents shall remain with TD&A. Trainees may use such material and documents only for their personal use and such material and documents shall not be copied, given, sold assigned or otherwise transferred in whole or in part to any third party without the express written consent of the TD&A
10. Trainee’s Liability
The trainee accepts responsibility in full for their conduct whilst on TD&A premises and undertakes to indemnify TD&A against material damage and/or personal injury to TD&A, its servants, agents or property as a result of actions or defaults whilst attending any work experience training at TD&A office premises.
11. Limit of Liability
Other than a liability in respect of death or personal injury, the extent of TD&A’s liability for any failure to meet its obligation shall be limited to the costs of the work experience fee only.
12. Interpretation
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
13. Force Majeure
TD&A shall not be liable to refund of fees or for any other penalty should work experience training be cancelled due to war, fire, strike, lock-out, industrial action, tempest, accident, civil disturbance or any other cause whatsoever beyond their control.
14. Payment:
a. Only Card payments are accepted. Payment by instalments will only be accepted through our payment plan facility and will be 10% higher than making a one-off payment.
